About Me

I am a senior Secondary English and Creative Writing major at Waynesburg University in Southwestern PA. I am a big fan of reading, writing, discussion, and storytelling. My hope is to pursue a career in education after I graduate college, and eventually publish my stories.

Experience

Through the education program of Waynesburg University, I was able to observe multiple teacher at public schools in the Greene County area. I have also completed over 500 hours of tutoring with a small company named CAM Educational Services. This summer, I was a member of the Breakthrough Pittsburgh Teaching Fellow Cohort. Myself and the rest of my cohort were given the opportunity to teach under sourced, but high achieving students from the Pittsburgh public school system in our own classrooms.

Approach

As a tutor/educator, I believe that the student comes first above all else. Students should be able to have a fair but challenging education that encourages them to take risks. In order to do this, students need support and assistance from professionals so that they can achieve their highest potential. My goal as tutor/educator is provide that assistance and support to students while challenging them with stimulating content and material.
