Fun Facts
I am originally from Little Rock, AR. I played soccer for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette my freshman year of college. I had a career-ending injury which encouraged me to transfer to TCU and focus on my academic dream. I still enjoy athletics, but my current focus is on social work practice with children, youth, and families.
About Me
I recently graduated with my Bachelor's of Science in Social Work from Texas Christian University (TCU). I was a member of the John V. Roach Honors College at TCU, and I received the Dean's List Award for five of my six semesters. My overall GPA is a 3.823. I am currently working full-time in Boston, MA while completing my Master's degree in the evening.
Experience
As a member of the National Honors Society in high school, I had the opportunity to boston">tutor my fellow classmates in their respective subject areas. I have also tutored some of my fellow college classmates when they have struggled with learning new material or concepts. I am very passionate about education, and I believe Frog boston">Tutoring would give me the opportunity to academically empower students.
Approach
My boston">tutoring approach is centered around patience because each student learns at his or her own pace. I also provide students with various approaches for learning specific subject matter because every student has a different learning style. I believe the true art to boston">tutoring is getting to know the student and his or her strengths, and then building on those strengths to empower the student and build academic confidence.
