I love Oregon and all the green nature in it; however, I have never been to another state. I am the youngest of five children. All of my siblings have graduated, so I am the only one who is still attending college. I am very active and social. I like making friends. I always get complemented as a funny social girl! A couple of my hobbies are drawing and dancing. I use dancing as my everyday workout

About Me

I am a 20 year old junior Electrical Engineer at portland-state-university">Portland State University. I absolutely love my major and can’t wait to graduate and be a successful engineering woman. I have been on the president’s list for two years. My overall GPA is 3.82. I have been awarded several scholarships from portland-state-university">Portland State University. As a long term goal, I plan to invent an X-ray device that is capable of seeing through tumors with precision and high level of details.

I have tutored math for two years. I started as a work study position and continued as a volunteer. For math, I tutored various levels, beginning algebra to linear algebra. For computer, it was mostly portland">tutoring for beginners and seniors. I very much enjoyed portland">tutoring and helping others to master their difficulties. I look forward to portland">tutoring again. portland">Tutoring to me is more than a job, but it is a way to make great friends. Working for a portland">tutoring company, like Frog, will help me continue my passion towards portland">tutoring. I, beside math, am also excited to portland">tutor chemistry, physics, and circuits.

My portland">tutoring approach is asking students questions and allowing them to reason their own question. Once a question is presented to me, I try to dig around it and ask questions that I believe the students know how to answer. Then, slowly lead the students to answer themselves. I find this approach to be the most effective way of teaching because this way students will feel that they figured it out on their own by reasoning other facts they already know!
