Fun Facts

My graduate major is Electrical Engineering. But now I am a Chinese teacher, preparing for the law school. Most people find my experience ridiculous and think I am not professional in any field of studying. But when I learned different things, I think the professional knowledge is not the only thing that collage taught me, the way of thinking and solving the problem is the key that I learned.

About Me

My undergraduate major is physic and my graduate major is Electrical Engineering. Now I am a Chinese teacher for one year and half, teaching in both Confucius Institute and Global Language Network. Also, I manage the teacher online support and interview program in GLN. In the future, I love communicating with others, so I am preparing for the LSAT and would like to go to the law school next year and become a patent lawyer. Teaching will always be a part time career throughout my life.

Even my major is physic, but my collage is a normal university, so I audited several classes like education and psychology. And I got lots of washington-dc">tutoring opportunity during my undergraduate. After I came to US and finished my very first Chinese class, I realized that I love teaching and love to see the students want to learn something from me. So I keep teaching Chinese for one year and a half. Furthermore, I also want to share my GRE experience with others who want to take the test because I worked really hard on it and I think I am good at the math section.

The most important thing that I find out during my teaching experience is the student’s interests. Chinese, for example, is really hard language to learn. All of my students come to my class because they are interested about Chinese and Chinese culture. Therefore, as a teacher, I really appreciate their enthusiasm and will try my best to keep their passion about learning. I truly believe that studying could be a really interesting thing no matter which subject.
Moreover, as my high school teacher said, there is no bad student but bad teacher. For different students, a good teacher should find the best teaching method for the student.
