About Me

I graduated from kalamazoo-college">Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan this year and am currently taking a gap year to get more teaching experience to apply for my Masters in Education. I've volunteered at Woodward Elementary School, columbus">tutoring second and third graders in reading and math. I am also currently columbus">tutoring a seventh grade student in math through care.com. In college, I was able to help my peers with different subjects as well. With Frog columbus">Tutoring, I can continue pursuing my goal of becoming a teacher and helping children learn.

I find that the best approach to columbus">tutoring is to use analogies involving everyday life, so they can better visualize the concept and relate to it in a personal way. If the student were able to explain the concept back to me and or complete example problems, then the idea has effectively been conveyed.
