About Me

I recently completed my master's degree in English from Northeastern Illinois University. I was a writing tutor there for three semesters and I received several assistantships and scholarships. I have a BA in English from Santa Clara University. I also have a CELTA certification in ESL. Before majoring in English, I majored in biology and psychology.

Approach

I like to go at the student's pace. In teaching, patience is key! Not all students have the same level of interest, accomplishment, or talent in a given subject - and that's okay! Everyone has different gifts. I am used to adjusting to the student. At the same time, I strive to be encouraging and foster in the student a sense of the joy of learning and enthusiasm for study.
