I have many hobbies, but my favorite is gardening. When the weather is good I really enjoy being outside planting new seeds or plants. I love to see flowers blossom and new life emerge.

About Me

I am a trained Orton-Gillingham tutor who works with dyslexic students and students with other reading barriers. I received my associate-level certificate through the Academy of OG Practitioners & Educators at the Kildonan School in Amenia, NY.

Experience

I have tutored for the past five years. I started as a tutor at Camp Dunnabeck doing one on one reading lessons with dyslexic students from kindergarten to middle school. Since April of 2020 I have been tutoring online. I have also tutored English to Spanish speaking students.

Approach

I am passionate about helping students from kindergarten to 12th grade reach their full reading and writing potential. I strive to make every lesson fun, engaging and instructive. Each lesson combines a multi-sensory approach that is sequential and personalized to meet every student's needs. I am a former Montessori teacher and am certified through the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners & Educators.
