I have a diversity of loves including but not limited to Cleveland sports, Byzantine history, and well-brewed coffee. In my spare time, I read, watch television, and occasionally home-brew beer. My perfect vacation is full of great beer and fantastic museums.

About Me

I just graduated from Harvard University in May with a degree in Classics (3.83 overall GPA, 3.96 within Classics), and am a fellow in a DC museum this year until I ideally go off to graduate school. I was president of the Classics Club at Harvard, and was awarded a Hoopes Prize for the excellence of my senior thesis on a Hellenistic Greek religious cult.

For the last couple of years, I have been teaching 5th grade civics for and I have a lot of experience washington-dc">tutoring and mentoring.

I have been lucky enough to have had a series of great teachers and mentors throughout my academic career from whom I take my educational inspiration and approach. My job as a washington-dc">tutor is not to teach rote facts to students, but to engage them on an intellectual level, making them understand the relevant issues that they are dealing with, so that they will be able to move forward without my assistance. Hard work is required, on my end and the student's, and I will be tough, while accounting for individual issues. My job is to help students find their own way.
