Fun Facts
One of my biggest passions is Cows! I am planning on going to graduate school for dairy science, so I love to learn and talk about anything that has to do with cows and the dairy industry.
About Me
I am a senior at Loyola Marymount University. I will be graduating in May 2022 with a B.S in Biology, a B.A in Philosophy, and a Minor in Theological Studies. My plan is to go to graduate school for dairy science to hopefully help dairy farmers with creating more sustainable practices for farms!
Experience
I have been tutoring AP and CP Biology since my junior year of high school and Algebra since sophomore year of college. I also help my peers in their physics, chemistry, and religion classes here at LMU. I love tutoring because I enjoy being able to get students really passionate about the classes they used to be struggling in. Learning can be a lot of fun, it just depends on how the topics are taught!
Approach
When I was younger (and even still now occasionally), I was always scared to ask questions. I used to think the students around me were much farther ahead on every topic than I was. I also refused to get tutoring because I was scared of seeming slow. But I realized that all the students around me were getting tutoring and that’s why they were getting things much quicker than I was. So I found how helpful tutoring was and I then began getting tutoring help until I was able to become a tutor myself!! It’s so important to ask questions, and that’s why it is important to find someone who you are comfortable with that you can ask for help!
