I love to bake! I've traveled to more countries in the world than states in the US. I've lived in Germany for a year-and-a-half. I like to draw but I'm pretty bad at it
About Me
I am a psychology major at Minerva University (part of the Claremont colleges). I have a 3.77 GPA and love studying both genetics/biology (my minor) and psychology. After I finish my undergraduate degree, I plan to attend medical school to become a pediatric physician.
Experience
I've been teaching English as an ESL pasadena">tutor for children for the past 3 years online and around the globe. I've also been working as a peer-pasadena">tutor since high-school in subjects like math, science, and writing. I also worked as an assistant science teacher at a volunteer science camp for elementary school students.
Approach
I take a very individualized and patient approach to teaching. I know that everyone struggles with different parts of learning and I take that into consideration when working with each individual. For some, practice problems might be helpful. For others, having a listening voice or proofreading eye to try things out with may be what you need. And for others yet, you might be looking for someone to practice English in an immersive environment. I work to accommodate all needs in my classroom

Biology Advance Tutoring
I am currently earning a psychology degree with a minor in natural sciences. I specialize in biology and genetics. I've taken many courses in these subjects and love to help other students understand the concepts better. I also studied biomedical sciences in high school and am happy to help with that as well.

I have a TEFL certificate for teaching English as a foreign language. I specialize in children and young adults. I've worked as a live-in English teacher, an online English teacher, and an in-person English teacher. I am very passionate about teaching English in a fun and immersive way.
Genetics Tutoring
By far my favorite subject in biology is genetics. I want to attend medical school to become a geneticist. My school only offers limited genetics courses, but I've taken all the offered courses and studied it a lot on my own as well. I would love to help you understand the complexities that make up this wonderful field.

I spent a year as an exchange student intensively studying German. I also just returned from living in Berlin for 6 months. I've worked with kids in German and love to teach it. I have taken a German film course in college, but most of my learning of the language came from immersive studies in Germany.

I specialize in offering proofreading tutoring. I can help with APA formatting as well as general proofreading. I can also help with the initial writing process and different stages of writing. I work with college essays and can help you polish off your college applications or assignments.

I served as a peer tutor in pre-algebra, algebra, and statistics in middle and high school. I excelled at the subjects and was able to patiently explain the different mathematical concepts to my fellow classmates. I'm good at using various whiteboard tools to help students understand complex math topics.
