Fun Facts

One of my passions is being into a multitude of sports. Some of my favorite sports that I am watching and learning more about right now are Basketball, Football, and Soccer. I think the reason these are my favorite sports right now is because of how deeply complicated they become once you understand them more. Another passion of mine is video games. I grew up playing video games with my dad and ever since I have always found them as a nice escape for a little bit when I have the time.

About Me

I am a second-year student at Western Oregon University. The major that I am currently working towards is Education with a focus on Secondary Social Studies. I am also minoring in science/oregon/portland">computer science because that is another passion of mine. When I graduate I hope to become a teacher at my alma mater high school in Salem, OR.

Experience

From 2021 through early 2022 I was a tutor at a local elementary school. I would help teach STEM and Math to kids of varying ages. I was eager to embrace that opportunity because I just love helping others learn. I also have taken Education classes here at Western Oregon University to prepare me to work with almost any type of student, ranging from the most passionate of students all the way to those who are not the biggest fans of school yet.

Approach

During my early years of schooling, I was never super passionate about it. However, I was fortunate enough to meet many amazing teachers who helped propel me into the person I am today. I feel that I have a duty to pay that debt forward by helping the next generation of students get the help they need and reach their highest potential possible.
