I am a fourth-year English major currently in school at Arizona State University. After completing my degree, I hope to continue my education by pursuing my Master's in Library Science.

Experience

I have tutored English at the local community college for about two and a half years and held copy editing positions for two years on various student organization newspapers.

Approach

I love tutoring one-on-one because it allows the space for tailoring to individual learning styles and addressing specific topics. I like to let the student tell me what they're struggling with or, if they can't put it into words, to think out loud through the possible issues before beginning to work on the solution. I check for comprehension frequently throughout the session because I recognize that it can sometimes be difficult for the student to speak up about still being confused. And as mu
