I love to cook! Good food connects people, and cooking is one of my favorite ways to bring my friends together. I also find it to be a creative outlet that has a calming, rejuvenating effect.
About Me
I am a rising senior at the dallas">University of Dallas, where I've spent the past three years obtaining a liberal arts education with an extensive core curriculum, through which I've learned to write well about topics as different as the philosophy of being and forensic biology! In addition to four core classes in the literary tradition, I've also completed coursework in specialized genres, such as American literature, Medieval literature, lyric poetry, and so much more!
Experience
In high school, I tutored Latin as a side job and also as volunteer work. The summer before my senior year of high school, I taught at a summer camp where we hosted week-long "classes" in areas like "Cardboard Creations" and "American Girl Doll." Both of these experiences were very rewarding for me, especially because I believe every child should have the opportunity to engage in their learning journey in ways that are imaginative and fun.
Approach
My mother played a very active role in my education, especially in my childhood. She would read historical stories and ancient myths to me that engaged my imagination. My high school biology and chemistry teacher also did this, in different ways. She would make cutouts and models to help my class understand whenever we were struggling with difficult concepts.
