Fun Facts

My favorite hobby is to read. During my free time, I love to kick back and read a really good book! It gives me peace of mind and helps me destress after long days. Some of my favorite books are: Dune, 1984 and Don Quixote. I also enjoy playing and understanding music because it's so much fun to learn the process, and apply my musical skills; someday, I want to master the guitar and the piano as well as integrate them for music production.

About Me

I am a sophmore at houston">The houston">University of Houston, and I hope to earn my Bachelor's degree in Finance. My career path is towards an economic backround, with experience in financial management. My GPA is a 3.49 as of right now. My main goal is to establish myself in the job industry once I graduate, and hopefully earn a good job opporunity.

Experience

Although I have no prior experience to tutoring, I do have great verbal and communication skills to engage with students. Another key skill I display is proper problem solving techniques to then replicate the information for the students. Working for Frog Tutoring gives me the opportunity to help students in need, and impact their critical thinking skills.

Approach

Certain subjects can be tough...but, having a teacher that's unversed is even worse. As a tutor, I believe that teaching should not only be a way of transfering knowledge but also a philosophy. Instead of repeating the words on the slide show presentation verbatim, I feel my responsibility is to approach a concept at different angles in order to give the students the big picture idea. I believe positive reinforcement allows students to not be afraid to ask me questions about a confusing concept.
