I am pursuing a Teaching English to Other Speakers certification post undergrad. Eventually I want to go back to grad school and become a school social worker. I am fluent in Spanish.

About Me

I am currently studying Elementry Education in my second year at the maryland">University of Maryland starting my internship in the fall.

Experience

I was able to nanny a few children in high school prior to the pandemic. I spent this year studying pedagogies and teaching methods specifically focusing on Elementary Math and ELA. I work at an education based summer camp currently.

Approach

After studying the philosophy of education from several perspectives I have been able to come up with my own. I truly believe that education is personal and there is no one size fits all. The classroom should fit the student, the student does not have to fit the classroom. As I hall">tutor I will get to know my students and curate my lessons to fit their identity both culturally and as a learner.
