About Me

I am a senior Business Administration major at California State University Los Angeles with a focus in Marketing, but I have been in the education field for about 8 years. I love teaching so much that I have considered in obtaining my teaching credentials.

Experience

I have been working with LAUSD for 8 years and I have been fortunate enough to attain experience in classroom settings. I worked at my local school and listened to the children there read. I progressed monitored students who were in the literacy instruction groups. In addition, I worked one on one with the students, helping them with sight words, blending, and leveled reading books.

Approach

Growing up I had difficulties with reading, but thanks to an intervention teacher I was taught how to read fluently and accurately. I fell behind for some time, but by being challenged in literacy I was able to overcome my fear of reading out loud. Now that I have instructional literacy experience, I love to help those students that are where I was once academically.
