Fun Facts
One thing that people learn about me very quickly is that I am a bit of a coffee-snob. I cannot be tricked with bad coffee beans; I prefer a dark roasted coffee where you can really taste the flavor of the beans. I have a 4 years old daughter who is an absolute blessing!
About Me
Hello and thank you for taking the time to read more about me! I am a person who is very passionate about mathematics and want to spread my love for the subject to as many students as I can. I try to teach math in a way in which students can understand. Get rid of the formulas and equations for a second and just explain the concept in laymen's terms.
Experience
I have been tutoring students since I was old enough to work. I have obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics and a California Teaching Credential.
I currently teach at an online Academy where I teach classes from 7th grade math all the way to calculus. I have also worked with many students with learning disabilities.
Approach
At one time I was a struggling math student as well. It was not until I got to college where I obtained some excellent education in mathematics from some professors who were passionate about their work. As a tutor/teacher I like to emphasize the underlying importance of learning a particular concept; in order to move on to bigger and better mathematical ideas which can help them solve problems in their every day lives.
