Fun Facts

I love being outdoors! I've currently visited two different national parks in Colorado and Michigan, but I plan to hike at many more. My next destination will be Yosemite National Park in the next year!

About Me

I'm a senior Teaching of English major at the chicago">University of Illinois at Chicago and I've been on the Dean's List for two consecutive semesters! I'm currently starting the second milestone of my teaching candidacy and will graduate in 2023. My goal is to help students feel confident in their educational journey!

Experience

I was a volunteer tutor, in subjects such as reading & writing, during my junior and senior year of high school at St. Nicholas of Tolentine. In the past year, I have also had the experience of helping seniors, at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, in the drafting process of their term papers on the Great Gatsby. By working for Frog Tutoring, I have the opportunity to expand my tutoring experiences and skills!

Approach

Growing up, I wish there was more teachers who were aware of neuro-divergent learning and how to apply it in the classroom, as it would have changed my academic journey tremendously! I use my past experiences as a student in my teaching approach by showing empathy and genuine care for all students. I believe all students are capable of achieving their goals with the right support!
