I have two cats named Nala and Pepper. Visiting every U.S. National Park is at the top of my bucket list.

About Me

I was born and raised in Southern Illinois and moved to the St. Louis area in the summer of 2020. I graduated from SIUE with a degree in Elementary Education in 2017 and went back to receive my Learning Behavior Specialist Endorsement in 2019. My favorite thing about being an educator is watching children learn, grow, and evolve their minds.

Experience

I have experience teaching 2nd grade and 4th grade. I have taught kindergarten and 6th grade in long term substitute positions. I worked at an early childhood center and have experience teaching infants up to pre-K students.

Approach

As a child, I loved learning the most when I felt like I got to have some say in it. I want learning to be fun for everyone involved, so I like to let children pick out books about things that interest them. I relate what we are learning to real word scenarios and throw some problem solving techniques in where I can.
