About Me
An enthusiastic High School English teacher who uses creative and relevant teaching methods to bridge the skill gap for learners in the South LA community! I graduated Magna Cum Laude from CSU East Bay in 2020 in Communication & Media Studies. I went on to join the Marshall Teacher Residency 21-22 Cohort where I spent 600 hours in immersive clinical teaching environments.
Experience
I have spent the last year as a Teaching Resident in English Language Arts. Prior to this I taught Hip Hop dance to students ages 3-18 for 5 years.
Approach
My approach centers the student in order to make learning accessible and culturally relevant. I use creative methods to be able to foster greater understanding and retention of new concepts while also building strong practices in learning that connects students to the greater world.
