Love hiking, basketball, and baking cookies! Enjoy skiing with my family. in the winter, my grown children are much better skiers than me, we have lots of good times in the picnicking in the winter.

About Me

Enjoy traveling , grew up in New England but currently live in the mountains of Colorado. I love skiing in the winter and painting in the summer. Teaching has always given me great joy. I have a big Calico cat named Allie and a naughty old Husky dog named Emma.

Experience

Have taught education/colorado/colorado-springs">special education for 17 years. I have a professional teaching license in both Massachusetts and Colorado.Working with students from many different back grounds and abilities .Have been a member or the International Literacy Association for ten years.

Approach

Over the years I have found that blending focus and positive encouragement is central to learning. Practice makes progress is one of my mottos. Making learning fun is essential, and of course to always letting my students know that I see them as capable learners!
