English Tutoring
I majored in Elementary Education and I have taken English classes for Language Arts. I have 17 years of experience teaching primary grades and my expertise is teaching phonics and phonetic awareness. Some examples are teaching phonics sounds, letter identification, rhyming words, blending sounds, substituting sounds to make new words, and counting syllables.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I am a certified Elementary Education teacher and I have taken all of the classes necessary to assist your scholar with reading comprehension. I will help with reading, processing and understanding the meaning of the text. I also have experience working with scholars with IEP's.
Reading Tutoring
I am a certified Elementary Education teacher and I have taken all of the prerequisite classes to teach your scholar how to read. I will work on reading strategies to help your child read independently.
Basic Computer Skills Tutoring
I am a certified Elementary Education teacher and I have taken all of the prerequisite classes to teach your scholar how to use the computer. I will help with basic computer skills like learning the key functions, keyboard short cuts, typing,using word processing documents, internet basics and lots more skills to get your scholar going. I also can assist adult learners as well.
