About Me

I grew up in Nebraska and studied Elementary Education at Wayne State College. I've taught first and second grade for 18 years; these last two years online. I've also lived and taught in Mexico for nine years!

Experience

My first job was teaching at a country school in Nebraska. These schools closed for good two years into my teaching. I then taught a first and second grade combo classroom at St. Leonard's Elementary in Nebraska. After three years, I moved to Iowa. I taught first grade in a Dual Language Program for three years. Next, I moved to Mexico and taught for nine years! I taught first and second grade in Mexico. One year was online due to the pandemic. Last year I moved back to the US. I taught second g

Approach

I have a true love for teaching. I'm lucky it's the only thing I've ever wanted to do. Lately my passion is online teaching. There are so many ways to learn online. If I'm having fun, I know the students are engaged as well!
