One passion about me is that I enjoy dancing Salsa and cooking. There is nothing better than feeling the music, while teaching or dancing it, or cooking a delicious Amish-inspired meal.

About Me

I am a teacher at heart. There is no greater feeling than to see the sparkle in your student's eye, who finally understands a concept which was previously difficult, complicated, or a down-right burden. My teaching style is a learning-how-to learn approach, which was adopted as an undergraduate struggling in a mandatory Biology class, without any guidance or support.

Experience

As a previous 3rd-8th grade teacher, a Real Estate Pre-licensing Instructor, and Nursing Student, I have tutored/taught various groups of students at a college, high school, and elementary level. I have also supported folks with learning English and writing papers, which has caused them to move from failing to getting on the honor roll by helping them break down the hardest concepts into simple easy and fun steps!

Approach

As a child, I did not know how to use my voice, which prevented me from taking the initiative needed in class. Therefore, I was not the best advocate in my educational pursuits. However, once I became empowered, my life changed and school became an amazing learning adventure. Now, I help my students/do likewise, so they can be everything they were designed, which is super wonderful.
