Fun Facts
An interesting fact about myself is my vast experience living abroad. Between the ages of 10-17 and as an adult, I had the pleasure to live on four different continents, visit over 40 countries, and experience a dozen different schools giving me experience with international schools, private schools, and local schools alike.
About Me
As of now, I am a para-educator in a life skills classroom at a public high school in Everett Wa.; getting ready to start my student teaching to receive a Washington State Teaching Certificate endorsed in secondary education/washington/everett">Special Education and Social Studies.
Experience
Before my time working as a para, I held a lead teaching position for a local private school teaching Social Studies, Government, English, Pre-Algebra, and French to small classrooms of 4-6 students, as well as, tutored students in reading comprehension, college counseling, executive functioning, and writing.
Approach
My approach to effective teaching and in turn learning is to establish a safe learning environment by meeting the students where they are at and building a relationship with the student based on trust and understanding.
