Fun Facts

I was born in Ohio and raised to be a Buckeye! I love basketball- coaching, playing, and managing. The sport is my first love. I also love reading; I just finished the Divergent series. I am the oldest of three and love dogs. I also enjoy using my creative side in my free time. I am a huge fan of finding DIY projects for canvases.

About Me

I am a junior at Ohio State University majoring in Physical Education. I have been on the Dean's List for the past 3 semesters with a GPA of 3.625 and a perfect 4.000 for my major! I am involved in the Sport and Wellness Scholars Program at Ohio State and am a Wellness Ambassador for our Student Wellness Center. I am also involved with our university's Department of Athletics as a Sport and Fan Experience Intern. Upon graduating, I hope to work for a competitive (collegiate or professional) sports team.

Throughout high school, I would peer mentor classmates, specifically in the subject of math. My sophomore year of high school, I went back and tutored math for junior high students at my grade school. I've had a variety of interactions with children of all ages. I spent some time at the beginning of this semester working as a before and after school child care teacher with the YMCA. In the afternoons, one of my responsibilities was to help with homework for the third, fourth, and fifth graders.

I've had a lot of good teachers throughout my years of schooling and have always had self-motivation to succeed in the classroom. I often found myself acting as a peer mentor for my classmates, helping them succeed themselves. I believe in quality education and feel that I have had a number of role models to show me what it takes to educate others. Sometimes I find people just need an extra mind to help them reach a conclusion, to ask them the questions they need to solve a problem. I also feel that I have developed good organizational and study skills and I can enlighten others on ideas about how to study or get their schoolwork organized.
