I have been tutoring since elementary school and tutored professionally starting in high school. I love learning new things, and I believe everyone learns differently and given time and patience, can learn to enjoy topics as they are.

About Me

I am currently a CNA, and I do tutoring and petsitting on the side. I love keeping busy and helping others. I have plenty of academic goals for the future, as well as personal and professional goals moving forward.

Experience

My favorite opportunity to teach came in a tutoring role at a high school that catered to small groups of teens who had fallen behind in their studies due to health reasons, the foster care system, or behavioral issues. Even the most challenging students were wonderful to get to know, and many of the students were able to complete their degrees and have grown so much. I will never forget the skills and opportunities those kids gave me.

Approach

In school, I was always the "Brainiac" of the group; I could read 300+ words per minute, do mental math before others could write it on paper, and graduated both high school and college early. I also began tutoring when I was very young because I believed everyone could succeed. I learned to work with students who were behind, failing, or dealing with learning disabilities.
