Fun Facts
If it is a nice day, you will almost always find me outside enjoying some fresh air. I have been to over 15 national parks in the United States because I love hiking and exploring new geography. Finally, I am a big sweet tooth and love to bake new things!
About Me
I am currently a freshman at Cornerstone University studying Elementary Ed and Special Ed. I graduated, in the top ten, from Western Michigan Christian High School where I played volleyball and soccer and participated in choir all four years. Finally, I love being around others whether its family, friends, or kids and try to have a fun time with them.
Experience
I have always known I want to become a teacher some day and have grown up surrounded in that environment. My mom was a classroom teacher for 17 years and now is working in education/michigan/grand-rapids">special education helping those who need extra support. In the summers, I would help tutor students alongside my mom because there were so many kids who needed extra help in reading and math. I have participated in many different jobs involving kids including babysitting, daycare, Bible school, and summer camp!
Approach
I have always loved learning and a school environment since I was a child. I formed close relationships with my teachers especially in high school and college because I always wanted to know more. Currently, in school I am learning different educational philosophy techniques, including learning and teaching strategies. I hope to be able to use what I am studying to help benefit kids who are eager to learn and want to use their gifts and talents.

OtherPre Algebra Tutoring
I took pre-algebra and algebra in middle school and geometry, algebra 2, pre-calc, and AP stats in high school. I would feel most confident teaching basic algebra skills.
Algebra Tutoring
I have taken pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, algebra 2, pre-calc, and AP stats all with a passing grade of 90% or higher. My favorite type of math is by far algebra and basic algebra skills
English Tutoring
I love to read and write both in school and outside of school. In high school I took AP Lang and AP Lit and passed both exams with a qualifying score.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
In my high school English classes, we were required to read a variety of works and analyze them. I feel very confident in my ability to understand the main points of a novel.
Spanish Tutoring
I took Spanish 1,2,3 and 4 all in high school and passed with a 95% or higher.
Study Skills Tutoring
I am very organized and responsible with my time in order to complete tasks on time. I hope to teach others how to use study strategies so they can become a better student.
Writing Tutoring
I have written many papers throughout my years of schooling. In high school, I learned many different techniques in order to improve papers and make them sound formal.

In my AP Lang and AP Lit we had to read a variety of works from short stories, plays, poems, and novels I feel very well experienced in reading and understanding different works.

I am currently in MAT 109 which is math for elementary teachers. In this class I am learning a variety of strategies to teach elementary math.
