Learning is my passion. This may seem dull to some but what is fascinating is the unexpected.

About Me

I am a father and grandfather and love working with students who are taking standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT. Over 15 years I have worked with over 200 students on these tests and enjoyed every minute. In some respects, what makes it most enjoyable is that I learn nearly as much as the students.

Experience

I have spent 15 years studying the SAT and ACT and the issues that students face taking these tests. Simply put, the main problem is information processing. To reach a student's potential, he or she must learn new methods of understanding what the questions are asking, and learn how to methodically execute a process to reach the correct answer. Much of what they need is not taught in school. I know what to teach.

Approach

I am a coach, cheerleader, and friend to all of my students. As a coach, I teach students the customized tools each needs to continually improve, and I expect them to do the necessary work. As a cheerleader, I express my excitement at their successes. As a friend, I treat them with respect.
