Fun Facts

One fun fact is that I have a second-degree blackbelt in Taekwondo. It usually shocks people when it gets brought up! I did martial arts for 6 years and it was amazing and provided me with many opportunities.

About Me

I have a Bachelors in Social Work and am looking to go back for my masters! I was previously a preschool teacher and currently I'm an in home therapist for children.

Experience

During college, I did an internship working with second graders and teaching them about social-and emotional lessons. During my preschool teaching experience, I also worked with school-age children and helped them with homework since they would arrive at the facility after school.

Approach

The school was always almost fun for me. There would be times I would understand part of a lesson and be completely confused about the next part and it was frustrating. I find that the way teachers teach a subject makes an enormous difference for me, as I am a visual learner. I hope I can help understand how others may learn and do the best I can to support them on their journey.
