I'm a world traveler who has lived on sheep farms in the UK and the cloud forest in Panamá. As a fine-art photographer, I've been in one-person shows, won awards, and even had an image in the Baltimore Museum of Art. I love animals, especially dogs and birds, but not flies and mosquitoes. I have one dog and one cat, both very spoiled. I love art and beauty, learning, and life. Many people don't know that my hobby is studying quantum physics. About Me

As a National Merit Scholar, I attended some of the best universities in the U.S. I was a manager in some of the biggest companies like IBM. Later I became a professor of Environmental Health at Texas A&M University and the maryland">University of Maryland Schools of Public Health. I was the program chair at Maryland. After retirement, I became an online English tutor to students and adults from China. Tutoring was the most fun I've ever had. Unfortunately, the Chinese company closed, and now I want to expand my tutoring to adults and students with an American company. Now I live on the East Coast of Florida, where I can see the rockets from my house. I'll show you pictures if you want!

My philosophy of teaching is that students will love to learn if they learn what they love. I am firm but gentle and patient and treat all of my students with respect. I teach a passion for learning that students will carry with them for the rest of their lives. I often enhance the lessons with information about English, different countries and cultures, the environment and climate change, and things about the student's interests and needs.
