About Me

Hello, I am a financial advisor who just loves math! Learning and teaching math has been a lifelong passion: I graduated Cum Laude in Economics from Tulane University and earned an MBA with a concentration in Finance from MIT.

Experience

I can explain mathematical concepts in a helpful, clear way. Whether as a financial advisor with thirty years of experience mentoring employees and making presentations in the boardroom, tutoring GED candidates, or as a parent helping my kids with their homework, I have proven experience in taking difficult concepts and breaking them down into understandable pieces.

Approach

My approach is to review the homework and prioritize understanding of the overall concepts, not just the individual problem. My style is non-judgmental, and I make sure my students know it is normal to struggle but there is a way through. Learning math can be scary but it doesn’t have to be. I am passionate about helping people learn how to use math academically and in their daily lives. While I enjoy all types of math, my favorite to tutor are elementary, pre-algebra and algebra.
