I love art and have my store on Etsy. I have hiked many places in the high Sierras and even once hiked over Mt. Whitney. I currently live in Thailand and work online.

About Me

I taught high school and junior college English for 32 years. Before that, I was in the army for 11 years. I have had experience with many academic programs over the years such as Academic Decathlon, AVID, Read 180, ERWC, and so on.

Experience

I was the youngest member of staff at boy scout camp, teaching archery at the age of 15. I was a unit trainer in the army and then, I became an English teacher for 32 years! I also wrote our accreditation report (we received a six-year accreditation).

Approach

I had many great teachers in school. The ones I remember most were the ones who were creative and tried to make learning fun. I incorporate music, art, and videos into my English lessons whenever possible. I also try to use what the student likes.
