Fun Facts
Here are a few fun facts for you here! I am strong in my faith, have an identical twin, can do things ambidextrously (with both hands), have been to Mumbai in India, played college softball, have learned and played 5 instruments, and sang before (Not all at once!) and am happily married to my husband with 2 sweet daughters!
About Me
I obtained a BS in Mathematics in 2008 and did tutoring sporatically for a few years. When my daughter turned 4 I began to work for tutoring companies. In 2019, my two daughters and I worked and went to a school, where I taught middle school math and science, a few high school subjects, and my daughters went to their respective grades at that school - K-4 and 5th grade. That was the school year that was seeing the beginning of the COVID pandemic, and school ended at home. We have stayed home since doing homeschooling, which is a happy place for us! I hope to instill a love for learning overall and to make my daughters strong in their math skills is a great goal for me! I have worked with kids from India, Pakistan, Canada, and the US. I only speak English but am trying to learn Spanish, so ask me a surprise question if you like~
Experience
BS in Mathematics, 5+ years teaching for 3 different tutoring companies, and had my own small RB tutoring company for a while when living outside of Atlanta area. Taught a year of middle school math and science, and taught a class briefly for math PSAT prep.
Approach
I always wanted to "compete" in a good way with my twin sister because math came easy for her, and science too! I have always had to work hard and my grades did not come as easy. For me, I was discouraged in middle school math, was indifferent in high school, but got converted to the love of math at college, and now math is a joy as an academic pursuit! I believe that I can make math conquerable - though it may seem daunting - with practice, guidance, and hard and honest effort.

College Algebra Tutoring
I have taken Algebra 1 and 2 and Pre-Calculus and Calculus 1 and 2. I have tutored trigonometry and geometry a little, but took the material for those classes as well. I have experience having already tutored college algebra and remediation college mathematics. There's no question too big or too small!

Middle School Math Tutoring
The subjects within math middle school fundamentals include working with all operations with fractions, decimals, rational numbers and recognition of rational expressions, rations and proportions, and using the distributive property proficiently as well as being able to identify the other properties. Upon entering pre-algebra concepts such as slope, equation of a line, substituting values into an equation with value assigned to a variable, one and multi-step equations, scientific notation, classifying polygons, and all area and volume questions for polygons are areas seen to need sound teaching on. I currently work with advanced students (for another tutoring opportunity) in 6th grade who take algebraic concepts, and who well surpass the mark for 6th grade, 7th, and 8th grade readiness at a younger age. These concepts can be taught earlier but much time and attention needs to have been placed accordingly to the fundamentals established in elementary school.
