Fun Facts
I love learning and enjoy helping others achieve goals. My hobbies include woodworking, leatherworking, reading, and anything outdoors.
About Me
I am the father of four beautiful kids (excuse me, adults!) and currently enjoying my first year of retirement. I am restless by nature so I look forward to new challenges and experiences. Since earning my B. A. at Ohio State I have taken numerous graduate courses and maintained a solid ‘A’ average.
Experience
28 years of high school teaching experience. 2007 Teacher of the Year, wrestling coach (1995-2002), 2003 Staff Sunshine Award, an associate member of the American Psychology Association, and standing member of Who’s Who Among American Teachers.
Approach
I was no stranger to hardship and struggle throughout high school and college.
This taught me invaluable lessons in perseverance and fortitude. I also received great support and encouragement from a few exceptional teachers as well as the Boy Scouts of America where I achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
Now in my fifty-ninth year, I can truly say that the most important and life-changing career goal I achieved was becoming a teacher. This was my calling.
