I have taught on four continents and visited over sixty countries! The world is a beautiful place and every culture has something to teach you !!

About Me

I am an American born in Pittsburgh, PA teaching history at a private school in Rio de Janeiro. I have also taught in the USA, Croatia, Italy, China, and Colombia. I have taught for the past 11 years and hold a Masters in Secondary Social Studies Education. I love playing basketball, reading science fiction, traveling, cooking new foods, and learning new languages.

Experience

I taught Geography and English in China as well as served as the Liaison to Foreign Teachers at the largest international school in Shanghai. I taught English at a private university in Medellin, Colombia. I have spent the past four years teaching AP History as well as World History and Government in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Approach

I am a huge proponent of student-led learning. I am also a big believer in having an active classroom, regardless of the online or in-person environment. Learning should be active!
