Fun Facts
A fun fact about me is I like doing indoor rock climbing, bouldering. For anybody that is close to me comes as a surprise because of my fear of heights but overcame it by doing this activity. And in the gym I go to you see people of all ages bouldering and honestly is very fun. I also like cycling especially when the weather is very cool to feel the cold breeze while riding.
About Me
My name is Luis Tepox and I am currently doing my Master's at California State University, Los Angeles in Electrical Engineering. I have always liked math and was something I enjoyed showing others since middle school. I started working as a tutor at my university during my Sophomore year where the school held math workshops for engineering students enrolled in math. I helped in groups and 1-to-1 for anybody enrolled in algebra, calculus, and differential equations. After I graduated with my Bachelor's, I realized I enjoyed teaching Math and did Private Tutoring on the side since I enjoyed it and got good reviews on the way I have done my tutoring style.
Experience
I started tutoring in my Sophomore year in college at California State University, Los Angeles. There was a program at my school called FYRE(First Year Experience) Program where they held workshops for engineering students enrolled in mathematics. The way how I approach teaching the student varies depending on the student but I try to understand from the student's point of view. I may have familiarity with the subject I am tutoring but the student doesn't as much and that is why they ask for my help. I try to see what they are currently working on and see the different things they may have trouble with and depending on what I see how I approach a certain teaching method.
