Fun Facts
I love to create art and play video games in my spare time! I enjoy watching horror movies and true crime TV shows. I moved to Oregon from Colorado in September to obtain my master's degree! I love exploring nature and stargazing, too.
About Me
I am a graduate student studying Applied Behavior Analysis at the Oregon Institute of Technology. I am not set on a career yet and am hoping to have my experiences guide me in the direction I need to go. I graduated from the University of Colorado Denver in 2022 with a degree in psychology! I also minored in cognitive behavioral neuroscience.
Experience
I worked at College Track Denver in Colorado as an Academic Success Coach for 2.5 years before moving. I worked with high school students to tutor them in math and science, but my role quickly evolved into me teaching psychology and study skills workshops. I love working with children to help them accomplish their goals.
Approach
Learning can be difficult for a lot of students and growing up, it was difficult for me to feel like I was being supported by the adults around me. I wanted to become an adult that any child would feel comfortable coming to for help. I wanted to be the adult that connects with students in the way that my favorite teachers did with me. I believe teaching should be fun for the teacher and the learner, so expect there to be some laughs!
