I like to try new things! I can scuba dive, ski, roller skate, and a couple more! On a regular basis, I like to dance salsa and play beach volleyball.

About Me

I just graduated this December 2022 from the University of Florida, a top 5 Public University in the US! I completed my B.S. in Biology with a 3.95 GPA and will attend medical school in the future. Lastly, I was on the Dean's list for 4 semesters and I led two tutoring organizations, one focused on children from low socioeconomic status families, and the other focused on Hispanic adults wanting to learn English.

Experience

As tutor and coordinator of Libros de Familia for the last three years, I recruited, trained, and coordinated 12 volunteers to tutor children from underserved migrant families in Alachua County. Additionally, I tutored and mentored a high school student weekly and provided Spanish literacy services to one of the parents. As the English Education Initiative Founder, and Director for the last 2 years, I have planned and conducted weekly English classes for more than 30 Spanish-speaking immigrants.

Approach

I am a lifelong learner, I know what it is to struggle with classes, fail exams, and even have to learn a new language and navigate a new educational system. That being said, for every setback, I found a way to bring myself back up and succeed academically. I have been able to help my previous students bounce back up just like me and I will ensure I maintain this standard with every new student I tutor in Frog Tutoring.
