Fun Facts
I am passionate about travel, language learning, and experiencing new cultures. My studies have given me the opportunity to learn and work in Germany. My hobbies range from swimming, and diving, improving my Spanish and Italian, and playing basketball and soccer.
I will try just about anything at least once!
About Me
I graduated from UC San Diego with a Bachelor's in Political Science, minors in History and German, and a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certificate. During the pandemic, I had the opportunity to learn to teach new courses such as AP World History, and last year, I had the fantastic opportunity to serve as a Fulbright English Teacher in Germany with the U.S. Department of State!
Experience
During my undergraduate years, I volunteered as an English tutor and eventually became an Assistant English Teacher to teach international students. After graduating, I taught a range of subjects including SAT/ACT Prep, AP World and U.S. History, and AP Macroeconomics.
Approach
I firmly believe that each student has a unique learning style and potential. Most teachers aim to accommodate the majority of, but not all, students' learning styles. By working with students across grades, learning levels, and even countries, I have always tailored my teaching styles to provide the best-individualized lesson plans.
I take time to work directly with my students to set personal, achievable goals to empower them with a strong sense of ownership in their progress!
