One fact about me I enjoy traveling and connecting with people. I enjoy spending time with my family, visiting museums, and reading. I am not much of a dancer but I do enjoy listening to music from the 80s because I believe the music had more substance and meaning.

About Me

I am currently a graduate student attending city college in the early childhood program. I am in the process of obtaining my teaching license. I am also, obtaining my education/new-york/new-york">special education certification to work with students with special needs.

Experience

I have over 12 years of experience tutoring and teaching students in small groups for the Department of Education. I had the opportunity to have been an employee with the department of education for over 12 years. I began as an assistant teacher working with children that have autism. My job responsibilities included organizing the classroom materials in preparation for the lesson and activities for the day. I then became an associate teacher who allowed me to provide small group instructions.

Approach

As a child, my elementary school teacher taught me to find joy in reading and writing. In middle school, I became interested in social studies because it allowed me to learn about the history world and the people who made a difference. As a tutor, I believe I can be supportive in providing students with the confidence needed to become successful and independent in all subject areas.
