Fun Facts
I love to roller skate! It is something that I enjoy doing in my free time, and I love to practice roller skating while listening to my favorite music. Also, something many don't know is that I am the eldest of four kids. Another fun fact about me is that I love to learn new things, like drawing, dancing, and creative fictional writing.
About Me
I have just completed my Bachelors of Science in Psychology at Liberty University. Before that, I attended Broward College in dual enrollment, where I was placed on the Dean's List, and completed my Associate's Degree. I plan on attending University at Buffalo in 2024 to pursue a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
Experience
I have had the opportunity to tutor students for the past two years. The grade levels I have had the experience of working with include students from Kindergarten to Undergraduate students in College. My specialty is found in 8th grade Math, including Pre-Algebra and Algebra, as well as 8th grade English.
Approach
Throughout middle and high school, I have always had the privilege to quickly understand what my Math and English teachers explained in class; I have also have the opportunity to unpack those concepts to my classmates in ways that they could understand. Since then, those opportunities have helped me work with students in my experience tutoring. MastersMath Tutoring
All throughout middle and high school I performed very highly in the area of math. This is a subject that I have a lot of experience tutoring and unpacking, and one that my students have shared that they have greatly increased in understanding within after my tutoring services. In addition, the summation of my capabilities in math based on my performance in College-level math courses is significantly above average.
English Tutoring
In high school, I completed AP English, as well as College-level English courses through dual enrollment. In each of these courses, I excelled with flying colors. To add, I scored a 31 in the English portion of the ACT exam in my senior year of high school. I also have extensive experience tutoring English in various K-12 grade levels. The clients that I have tutored in English exhibited clear improvement in this area.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I earned a score of 27 in the Reading portion of the ACT exam while in my senior year of high school. To add, I excelled in Reading Comprehension subjects throughout high school and College. In addition to this, I have had extensive experience tutoring Reading Comprehension subjects to students in elementary and middle school.
Writing Tutoring
I have completed College-level Writing courses with professional, grammatically correct, and appealing essays. Throughout the pursuit of my Bachelor's Degree, I have written many essays, thus adding to my experience and skill in effective and high-quality writing. The clients who received my service in the subject have shared that their writing has improved, and their writing quality has visibly increased.
Pre Algebra Tutoring
Pre-Algebra is my strongest area of tutoring. Every student that I have worked with in Pre-Algebra has immensely increased in their capabilities and understandings in this area. To add, I excelled in this area while I completed it in middle school, and it is a topic that has become second-nature to me.
