I love to design and modify board games, which I use in my classroom to make learning fun. I also love to read and travel. I have a sweet puppy named Teddy who likes to go everywhere with me.

About Me

I have been a math teacher for 29 years, I plan to retire from the school setting at the end of next year. From there I hope to continue working with students and adults to help them grow in their studies of math by more individualized and one on

Experience

I have been teaching in a rural public school system for the past 29 years. I taught middle school math, grades 6-8 , for ten years and have taught high school math, grades 9-12 for the past 19 years. My areas of focus are Algebra 1, 2 and Geometry.
I enjoy working with students at all levels and abilities.

Approach

I like to get to know students and then try multiple approaches to teaching that will need to meet their needs. Every child learns in different ways and at different speeds. I try to incorporate fun sayings and songs to help students remember complicated formulas.
