I am a certified English Teacher with experience in secondary education settings. I work at a middle school in Brooklyn, New York. I am outgoing and caring with a deep understanding of innovative teaching methods. I am also skilled at utilizing educational hardware like Zoom, Peardeck, puzzle, etc.

Experience

As a member of the Department of Education in NYC for 2 years, I am skilled at conducting small group and individual classroom activities with students based on differentiated learning needs. I also strive to promote and build student confidence through learning. I always encourage a growth mindset and include relevant topics—interests in learning to build engagement.

Approach

I used reading as an escape, but I understand not every child enjoys reading. Whether it is due to a disability that makes it difficult or just a lack of access to culturally relevant or interesting literature, with this in mind, my goal is to make reading fun and accessible.
