I love to read, mainly fiction books but love reading books recommended to me as well. I also have an obsession with socks and crocs!

About Me

I graduated from Bridgewater State University in May 2022. I took this past year off and did some traveling! I have always loved working with kids and have worked in a few different settings.

Experience

I worked at a summer camp for two summers for children with social and emotional challenges. I worked with children in second grade and children who were preschool aged. I have also worked as an associate teacher at a daycare where I worked with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. I have been a substitute in Wilmington Public Schools since May 2019. I have worked in preschool-5th grade. I completed my student teaching in a second-grade classroom where I did a two-week takeover.

Approach

Through all my experiences I have learned that each child is different and needs different approaches to learning. Not all children are going to understand the material being taught the same way. As teachers, we need to understand this and be able to explain it in different ways. Differentiation is key in teaching in order to make all students successful.
