I love adventure and I love to try new things!
A new way to work out? I'm in. Visit a foreign country or take a trip to explore somewhere new? I'm in. Learn a new skill, language, hobby, style, song, etc.? I'm in.
Also, anything outside, count me in - camping, hiking, swimming, rock climbing, state parks - I love it all. I'm also a little afraid of heights but, so far, it hasn't stopped me.

About Me

I am a full-time Life Coach and Reiki Master. I have a Master's in Education and a variety of training and experience in the public and private sectors. I have worked in k-12 public education, gifted education, exceptional education, and environmental education, track coach, running coach, worked as a corporate efficiency auditor and process analyst, life coach, music performance, and a variety of other past and present careers.

Experience

I have worked with students from elementary, middle, and high school, college/university, and lifelong learners/adults. I have taught English, Math, History, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Physics, Study Skills, coached track, created curriculum, and proctored exams. I ran a dual credit program at a University and an AVID program at a middle school for first generation college bound students. I have tutored students in all subjects and thrive on collaborative learning.

Approach

Learning is supposed to be fun, enjoyable, and engaging! I love figuring out what helps students connect with a subject. It's certainly easier to learn when we find something that turns on our inner light. Even (especially) with subjects we are not attracted to or find do not come easily, there is always a way to be successful. I work with people in creative ways and tailor lessons to each student's unique way of learning and thinking so that it sticks and it's FUN.
