I have two cats named Luna and Bagel. I’m from Long Island but I am not a fan of the beach. I want to travel the world and one day ride an elephant!
About Me
I am a college student and Marymount Manhattan College, studying public relations & strategic communication while minoring in business. My long-term goal is to have a business of my own where I can build shelters around the world for people in need!
Experience
I have studied early childhood education which allowed me to also be a lead preschool teacher. I was a camp counselor in my early teen years. I also have roughly 6-7 years of babysitting experience. I am also CPR certified.
Approach
When I was younger I struggled very hard with paying attention in class. It felt difficult to be heard because I thought I was less smart than the others in my class. Focus was a big issue due to the chaos in the classrooms. Once I learned studying skills that helped me and were tutored one on one, my progress was significant. English Tutoring
English has always been my best subject in school, and one I've had a love for. English I find is the fundamental base to all other reading, writing, and comprehension skills. It may not be easy but both being patient with yourself and others, anyone can succeed in English.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
Reading comprehension can be difficult and discouraging to those who may not succeed in it right away but it is possible.. With my patience and acceptance of others, being able to accomplish this skill is absolutely possible for anyone and everyone.
Study Skills Tutoring
Studying was always difficult but I have found it is just a matter of tips and tricks to figure out what works best for an individual. I have found many methods that have helped me and help others. Helping people study/quizzing others has been very beneficial, as I have found there are different methods for everyone.
Writing Tutoring
I have taken many creative writing classes, journalism, and basic writing classes. My college essay got me many scholarships and I am currently taking journalism and writing classes in college.
Reading Tutoring
I used to struggle with reading as a kid but with practice and dedication I have improved significantly and it's not one of my stronger suits. I also have a love for books and love to encourage those to read.
