Fun Facts
I am the youngest of four and I am a huge cinephile and book-lover! I also love to bake; my latest creation was basbousa, a delicious coconut-semolina cake.
About Me
I am a recent graduate from Wellesley College (I graduated a semester early!) as a Math major and Statistics minor. I will now start my Master's in Data Science at Brown University this fall. I aspire to work as a data scientist in a healthcare setting to improve patient outcomes and diminish health inequities.
Experience
As a member of the National Honor Society in high school, I tutored my peers in a variety of subjects, such as math (from Pre-Algebra to Calculus), writing (in English, history, and film), and French. At Wellesley College, I assisted students from Calculus I to Linear Algebra as a math grader. Now, I teach math and reading to children from preschool to high school at an after-school program.
Approach
Since students often have trouble with quantitative subjects, I like to tutor in these areas. Children from a young age often become frustrated and demoralized with their mathematical studies which is why I make it a priority to have an encouraging and positive attitude. One can never make too many mistakes! This is especially true with SAT studies which is why I am eager to fill this position.
