Fun Facts

I would say my biggest passion is music. I've been creating music from the time I was fourteen through today. Right now I primarily play guitar, and keyboard, and compose songs. Another hobby of mine is writing, which I've been doing on my own since I was sixteen. Furthering my education has allowed me to refine my craft as a reader and writer, and being a teacher allows me to share my passion for the subject.

About Me

I am a senior English Education major currently pursuing my degree while working with students in the Philadelphia area.

Experience

I have been in middle and high school English classrooms doing observations and learning more about how to become a great English teacher. Previously to this, I've had experience teaching science to middle schoolers, but now I'm honing in more on the craft of language arts.

Approach

My fundamental approach as an educator is to establish effective relationships with my students. One way to do this is by showing genuine interest in your students as individuals; ask them who they are, their interests, hobbies, and inspirations. Another way I intend to establish relationships is by being prepared and planning stellar lessons that are entertaining, engaging, and thought-provoking.
