I rode horses all through middle school and high school.
I am a big fan of musical theater and love to see touring shows on the weekends.

About Me

I am a rising junior at Northeastern University majoring in data science and math. I am in the Honors program and have consistently been on the Dean's list. When I graduate, I hope to go into either backend data engineering or actuarial sciences.

Experience

I have been a TA for about three semesters, for introductory and intermediate programming with data classes, so I have become skilled at tailoring my explanation of topics to students' varying skill levels. I was the lead TA for office hours for the introductory course, where I anticipated what students might have questions about. I led a tutoring group for students struggling in the intermediate course where I further tuned my explanatory skills, and I mentored several project final groups.

Approach

I find that students are better able to learn when they're confident and in the right headspace for stretching their minds, so I always try to make students feel comfortable. Then, I like to help by asking questions that guide the student toward finding the solution themself. How simple those questions are is tailored to the student's level of competence, and I sometimes go back and demonstrate examples if I can't form a simple enough question to guide the student.
